“a pleasure to watch his masterful control of the audience….if you want a good dose of Dublin in the rare auld times – you will get it here” The Sunday Independent

A new show from acclaimed playwright and director Peter

Sheridan based on his memoir, Break A Leg tells the story of his life in the theatre,

and meanwhile touches on so much more, delving deeply

into Sheridan’s life, as well as the wider culture and politics

of Ireland in the 1960s and 1970s.

The theatre, seen through Sheridan’s eyes, can do much more than

entertain; it can itself be a vehicle of social change.

Honestly confronting his social history with memoir, Sheridan’s story is written

in gutsy, fresh prose that captures your attention from the first page.

Peter Sheridan is a writer, theatre director, playwright, screenwriter, and film

director. Directed by Maggie Byrne

“Essential viewing.” The Irish Times

“A witty, incisive show.” Joe Duffy

“a joy to behold” Buffalo News, New York

A tour de force Mail on Sunday

many delightful nuggets….Sheridan’s style is easy, chatty and filled with humour.

The Irish Times book review

“A truly brilliant read, vividly capturing a vibrantly radical period

in Irish theatre when the old rule book was torn up and Irish society,

kicking and screaming, was forced to examine itself in the mirror.

No other writer has captured this time so accurately and with

such insight and humour.” Dermot Bolger
